For instance, Dr. Ichiro Kawachi, a Harvard University professor and social epidemiologist, reports that the ability to avoid negative health behaviors such as smoking and eating unhealthy foods depends on the access to "income, education, and the social determinants of health" (1999).

On the basis of your knowledge of the socioeconomic status of minorities, answer the following questions:

Answer: Socioeconomic factors affects and acts as a barrier for the people to avail better health as well as healthcare treatment. Some of the prominent socioeconomic barriers which is mainly associated with achieving better health for minority are such as poverty, lack of education also causes improper way of healthcare and lack of adoption of healthy lifestyle. Unemployment causes depression as well as stressed condition which sometimes leads to suicidal behavior of the people.

Society expects for the enhancement of the health by contributing the individual health. The low premium rates of the health care insurance can enable many people to have better quality of treatment and care.

Society makes things much different as they do partiality on the basis of caste, race, financial status. People in the society sometimes makes stressful condition for the others such as increasing pressure on savings, not having good house etc.
