Health Belief Model is one of the theoretical model used to change the behavior of an individual by promoting health and preventing disease. It is one of the best model used to change the specific behavior of an individual. In this, I used to change the behavior of unhealthy eating habits thereby reducing the risk of obesity.
1. Health belief model helps to focus on social factors that influence on unhealthy eating habits and individuals beliefs and preferences on eating. HBM also explains the relation between the individual perceives on eating habits and threats to the disease. HBM helps to identify the barriers that interpret with positive healthy eating habits.
2. Health Belief Model is a psychological model helps to assess the health needs of an individual and to determine the risk associated with individual behavior.
