Systolic dysfunction refers to inability ofbthe heart to contract and pump the blood effectively. This happens when the heart enlarges in size.It may be caused due to coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, ischemic cardiomyopathy, In pericarditis systolic dysfunction happens in a later stage and it happens during a rub.In congestive heart failure there is reduced ejection fraction which is termed to be systolic dysfunction and is the common cause leading to CHF.Anaphylaxis can cause an arrest.Pulmonary enema is not associated with systolic dysfunction
