Answer #1

3. Patient recieving 6.5% of amino acid

Flow rate = 55ml /hour

In 1hour 55 ml

Then ,in 48hr ,it would be 48×55 ml = 2640ml

Protein calculation = 2640 of 6.5% amino acid

= 2640 × 6.5/ 100

= 171.6 gm

Now , 1gm of protein privide 4kcal

Then 171.6gm will provide = 4×171.6 kcal

4. TDE of the patient is 3360 kcal

Weight of the patient is 68kg

Lipids - 30% of TDE

Carbohydrate requirement is 3-5 gm /kg

= 68( 3-5) gm

= 204-. 340gm of carbohydrates

1 gm carbohydrate provide 4kcal

Then , 340 gm of carbohydrates provides 340× 4

= 1360 kcal
