Stress can occur during any medical illness, financial issues, and trauma, etc...
There are 3 stages response for people to manage their stress
Alarm reaction stage:
When there is a distress signal pass to the hypothalamus. Hypothalamus release the glucocorticoids, it releases the stress hormone called adrenaline and cortisol, it raised the blood pressure and blood sugar. This changes governed by the autonomic nervous system called to fight and flight response
Resistance:
During this stage after the alarm reaction, the parasympathetic system tries to return the body normal by reducing the cortisol level. blood pressure return to normal, stress comes to end and become normal, it leads to poor concentration and irritation.
Exhaustion stage:
During this stage body deplete the energy but fails to recover from the alarm reaction stage, they feel tired, depression and anxiety. when there are not become normal or manage the stress level there is a risk of developing stress-related conditions.
