A Healthcare corporation is concerned about increasing health
care costs and decide to motivate employees to adopt healthy
habits. Hence, workers are given a year to quit smoking. If they do
not stop by, then, they are going to be fired. Also, the new
workers will have to take nicotine examinations, and will even
avoid hiring smokers in the future. The organization also wants to
promote employees to stay healthy, so employees who lose weight
will get cash incentives for their weight loss. In fact, the
employees who do not meet the weight, cholesterol, and blood
pressure standards for the company will get charged extra fees for
health insurance.
Do you think this is ethical? Why or why not?
Can you also think of other ways to motivate workers to adopt
healthy habits?
HIPAA ruled to achieve health standards, it allows incentives to
help workers to reach the goal(to lose weight and reach the
BMI).HIPAA law also for obese workers receive some incentives to
meet the realistic target correct weight. It is a legal one. If we

illegal and unethical. Some court has ruled morbid obesity also
impairment linked to physical disability.

way with physical fitness goal by healthy eating option, physical
ability, preventive care and $25 monthly premium for tobacco users
rise to $50 and no wellness premium discount for employees who do
not meet the health risk assessment. People more aware of losing

Tens Tips for changing health behaviors After years of working with health science students to help older adults change health behaviors, it would be wonderful if I could offer the reader a simple formula for increasing the probability of success. There are many factors that can influence the success or failure of an individual’s attempt to change a health behavior,...
