Mark Stephenson
Mark Stephenson is a 60-year-old electrical engineer who has recently been laid off from his job. Since then, he has experienced several medical problems, starting with an acute myocardial infarction, which required a coronary artery bypass graft with triple-vessel repair. He also had a mild cerebrovascular accident (stroke) during his hospitalization. You are seeing Mr. Stephenson at the cardiac rehabilitation clinic today. During his visit, you ask him about his feelings surrounding his unemployment and health problems. Mr. Stephenson comments that he must have really made the gods angry to have so many things go wrong at once.
