Answer: The major difference between modern medicine and traditional healing is that the modern medicines are scientifically proved and have evidence based practice. But in the case of traditional healing, it is not scientifically proved, but it depends upon the traditional values and practices.
The traditional healing difference according to the various cultures and traditions, whereas the modern medicines involved practice of treating patients according to the protocols, scientifically proved methods as well as combination of drug can be used.
The traditional healing depends upon the various factors. It usually takes longer time to heal the disease. The traditional healing is not scientifically proved so, can not be trusted in treating every diseases. Although it has less side effects but sometimes it may worsen the condition of the patient.
On the other hand, the modern medicines uses instant treatment and medications. This shows affects instantly. Delaying in the treatment of many diseases makes it more severe. So in this case modern medicine should be used to reduce the symptoms of the disease.
