What power limit would be required of components used in this measurement? 2) How might you get an estimate of the Op Amp's open loop gain via measurements on the circuit used in this lab? 3) How does a multimeter measure resistance? Using the latter explain why multimeter should not be used to measure Rjn and Rout in this lab 4) In part 3 of the lab the added resistor from part 2 was not removed. Does the presence of this resistor make a difference in the measured Rout? Would there be any affect if it was removed?

1. For calculating or measuring the maximum current output of an opamp, we need to ensure that the opamp is already having its maximum voltage as output. This can be done by grounding terminal A and attaching a 5V supply to terminal B. This will cause the output of the opamp to saturate at 15V (Assuming that the power supplky is +/- 15V).

    Now, reduce the value of the output resistor (1K), and at the same time, keep measuring the output current and the output voltage. At a particular value of the resistance, the current will start to saturate and the output voltage will decrease. This is the value of the maximum output current of the op-amp.

   The output resistance can be reduced by attaching a suitable potentiometer. The power limit of the resistance R used should be I2R, where I is the max current supplied by the op-amp.
