Explain the basic differences in the reporting the methods used for qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method studies.
Quantitative, qualitative and mixed method are the various forms of research methodology.
Quantitative method:the quantitative method of studies are objective studies which is based on various numerical data .the data is collected through observation checklist, questionnaires, likert scale.quantitative asks for closed ended question and the hypothesis tested during the the course of the study.a quantitative results are very specific and has conclusion which consist of numbers and measurable evidences it is result oriented eg An experiential study to assess the Hb levels in females post administration of a dates formula.
Qualitative Research:This is a subjective method of research in which the reporting is mostly in the form of verbal clients the data is collected using interviews, interpretation of any psychological pictures.Hypothesis is generated during qualitative research.qualitative research is process oriented and comes up with recommendations or theories are derived .eg An exploratory study to assess the comfort level of the of patients by allowing relatives in the ICU for 24 hours
Mixed research method
This methodology uses the amalgamation of both quantitative and qualitative Research methodology in a particular study .both methods are uses when the researcher wants to validate the study using a different methodology.or both the methodology is used for an in-depth understanding
Eg An exploratory study to assess the comfort of ICU patients by allowing relatives to be in the ICU for 24 hrs is done using a qualitative method data collected by interview the same study can be validated by using a observation checklist about the behaviour or facial expressions of patients by allowing the relatives to be in ICU for 24 hrs

Explain the basic differences in the reporting the methods used for qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method studies.
Which mixed methods study design incorporates quantitative and qualitative data that are gathered during the same time period, often from the same individuals/participants? Exploratory mixed methods designs (Qual-Quant designs) Concurrent mixed methods designs Explanatory mixed methods designs None of the above
Please explain how you would process data using a mixed method approach (qualitative and quantitative) for analysis and presentation of the study?
Which mixed methods study design incorporates quantitative and qualitative data that are gathered during the same time period, often from the same individuals/participants? Exploratory mixed methods designs (Qual-Quant designs) Concurrent mixed methods designs Explanatory mixed methods designs None of the above
Which of the following is true about mixed methods sampling? a. Participants are always selected for both the qualitative phase and the quantitative phase using purposeful sampling. b. Snowball sampling is rarely used in a mixed methods research design because it produces a sample that is too similar to provide useful information. c. Many mixed methods studies collect data from the same pool of participants, but samples can also be completely independent. d. The sampling from the quantitative phase is...
What are the main differences between qualitative and quantitative studies? What are the three types of pre-experimental studies? What is the most significant threat to this type of experimentation?
Business Research Methods Compare the differences between qualitative versus quantitative research method providing comparisons concerning techniques, operation, methods, sources, and constructed theory. Assess the development of theory explaining how theory is formulated and evaluate the various types of methods needed to construct sound qualitative (nomological) metaphors and paradigms compared to the quantitative aspects of hypotheses design and the scientific methods used to build different types of theories. Recommend what research tools provide best practice in the identification, acquisition, evaluation, and...
What is the difference between qualitative and quantitative research? Include mention of possible differences in purpose, method, data sources, and data analysis.
