Generally, crisis state persists approximately 6 to 8 weeks, however, in the aftermath of crisis events and a person can be transformed into a chronic and long period of time behavior deviation. When the worker interacts with a client experiencing transcrisis state demands a long term behavior treatment with the help of medication and behavioral therapies.   

The client may emit anxiety, mood imbalance and chronic stress which changes into depression and maladjusted behavior, sometimes these symptoms show the possibilities of cognitive dysfunction and lack of abilities. When a client encounters with stressors and anxiety events may show memory loss, deviated behavior, the problem with social and psychological adjustments.

The crisis intervention models such as The Equilibrium model, the cognitive model, and Psychosocial Transition model help the crisis worker to handle the situation and find an appropriate method to reduce the symptoms of anxiety and stress. Six stage model of crisis intervention is a very effective model to control behavioral problems.
