Answer #1

The xenophobia of Puritans and the Salem Witch Trial-

The puritans reflected a very strong, strict and firm framework of the moral codes. Puritans expected this framework to be followed without the slightest of the alteration. (For example, sleeping in the Church was supposed to be one of the greatest sins).

Any person, group of people who altered/ did not follow/ disrespected the said framework of the moral codes were supposed to be the ill people, rather the witches.

The mindset of being, doing and living in the said prescribed manner only and the slightest of the dilution to be intolerant were the root reasons behind the Salem witch trials.

The xenophobia supported by the wrong beliefs/ superstitions and a tendency to consider something ill/ evil was another significant facet behind these witch trials.

The huge influence by Puritans had already been treated as a reason to dominate and monitor the behaviours of the others.

Puritans believed that the so called witches did not belong to community and were with the devil's/ evil's support.
