.
Sir Robert Peel is considered to be a renowned name when it comes to policing. The various principles were proposed by him in order to improve the policing in order to make it as a profession which can not bee accused by the public. If we look at the present, the nine principles provided by him are still of practical importance in policing. Revention of the crime is the first and foremost principle which is still being adopted by the police at present.
The second principle proposed by him in which he suggested that all the policing policies must be accepted by the public is still implemented as all the duties and authorities of the police are supported and regulated by the constitution
There is a shift in the third principle of gaining the voluntary support of the public as there is a compulsion on the public to follow the law.
As the police increase the use of force on the public, the fourth principle of cooperation from the public is diminishing day by day and the required force is being executed by the police to arrest the criminal and accused individual.
The most commonly used principle is still in existence which states that the police should look to get the favor of the common public and perform its duties impartially.
The sixth principle of using the required force on the public is still determining the relationship between the common public and police
With the help fo community policing, the seventh principle of having a better relationship with the common public is still getting significant importance.
The eights principle which indicates that both police and judiciary must perform their operations independently si still working quite well.
There is no use of the ninth principle which explains that the effectiveness of the policing should be judged in the absence of crime
