Answer #1

When we say trust, we usually associate it to the value of the character, especially when we are told something or have to believe someone whose character is questionable or one whose character does not need to be questioned. But, we also need to recognize that trust is a factor of competence as well. This can be said due to the fact that the ability to be convincing comes from the individual’s ability to associate their actions as being appropriate for the process at hand, be it in a personal or a professional capacity, if the individual does not have the necessary skills that are needed in order to bring the task at hand to completion, others would not acknowledge their efforts and their methods even if they were the best course of action that could've been taken for the situation. This is why we can say that trust, as a factor of consideration can be associated with the values of both characteristics of the individual as well as their competence, which would make others believe they know what they are talking about or telling others to believe.
