Answer #1

Given value;

25 mg Midazolam hydrocholaride in 50 ml D5W.
The order for Midazolam is 2 - 5 mg per hour .
Here the lowest order is 2 mg and the highest order is 5 mg.

Solution;
For the Administration of lowest order;
= (desired dose x No. of ml given) / strength available.
= 2 x 50 / 25
= 4 ml / hr

For the Administration of highest oredr;

= 5 x 50 / 25
= 10 ml / hr

So the Ans is 4 ml/hr , 10 ml/hr
