Copper is smaller than gold it will substitute s the the gold position .so it is substitutional sold solution According to the Humruthery rules if atomic size difference less 8% it will give complete solubility.

Cu atoms smaller than gold they will create tensile internal stresses. If size is more then the will be as a compressive.

Cu is the substitutional impurity .
