C. Frontal plane

  • Body can be divided into different planes. Following are common planes that are used -
  • Midsaggital - passes through midline of body and divides it into 2 equal right and left portion. Parasaggital plane is away from midsaggital plane (it doesn't passes through midline) and divides body into 2 unequal right and left portion
  • Frontal or coronal plane - divides body into anterior and posterior portion.
  • Transverse plane - passes horizontally across body and divides body into upper and lower part
