The participants in this study will consist of 20 men age ranging from 20 to 50 and 20 females age ranging from 20 to 50. Each participant is required to have some type of job. The participants will be divided into four groups depending males and females and on how stressful their jobs are. For example: someone with a job as a firefighter or a pilot would be classified as a high stress job whereas someone working in an office or hair stylist would be considered a low stress job. Diagnoses will be made by the participants filling out a questionnaire forms asking them about their health, family, and careers.
This would be an example of a 2 x 2 factorial experiment. In this study, there are two independent variables (gender and job stress) with two levels each (male and female; high stress and low stress).
