Answer #1

Doping is the process of adding impurities to the particular pure element to alter it's properties. It is very important as pure element is not that much electrically conductive. Therefore when material is doped with impurities it's conductivity increases as compared to pure intrinsic material.

Photovoltaic cell works on the principle of converting light energy into electric energy. When solar light falls on photovoltaic cell then it absorbs photons from light and convert it into electrons, which is known as photoelectric effect. Photovoltaic cell is made up of semiconductor material and it's main source of energy is solar lights which convert solar energy into electrical energy which is directly used or stored.
