What is the inheritance pattern for mitochondrial genes? (Please answer that with a paragraph).
Mitochondrial genes are inherited from mother only. So, if mother is affected that is if she has affected mitochondrial genes then all the children will be affected. If father is affected and mother is not affected then no children will be affected. So, from mother it is inherited as dominant genes as all the offsprings will be affected.
