Need help graphing (xy=constant)

I know I can look it up online but I need to know how to do it by hand.

The correct graph is shown, I don’t know how to get it though.

Xy = constant = 0, a greaterthan 0 implies y = a/x i.e at x = 0 y = infinity That is start at x = 0, y = infinity at x = a implies y = 1 Now at x = infinity y rightarrow 0 left side of x = 0 also y rightarrow - infinity and x = -a implies y = -1 and y rightarrow 0 when x rightarrow - infinity now the same steps may be repeated for a < 0 then we get 3, 4 and If we change 'a' we get similar curves 5, 6, 7, 8.
