What can be done to an organization’s culture to increase its economic performance?
Organizational culture has a definite impact on the economic performance of the organization. The culture prevalent in the organization gives shape to the efforts and activities of the organization in achieving its objectives in the market which leads to success.
An organizational culture that is result-oriented and provides timely reviews/feedbacks to employees to improve the performance will help in increasing the efficiency of the workforce. Similarly, an open and free culture can enhance the communication channels and will facilitate communication from top to bottom and vice versa in the organization. This two-way communication can help in a better understanding of the goals, objectives, strategies of the organization among the employees as well as the grievances and doubts of the employees among the management. This reduces conflicts.
Also, a culture which allows a creative flow of the employees and rewards innovative solutions will ultimately lead to reduced operational costs and higher efficiency
The result of all this is an increase in the economic performance and success of the company in the industry.
