Dinuclear ОН 12 Q. Mechanism

I am not too sure. My instructor went from phenol + sodium bicarbonate and then we got the ortho and para products. However, he then said if we let the reaction go for hours and lower the PH to 5, we will get all those compounds. But, my instructor wanted the mechansim for the dinuclear. We get mononuclear, dinuclear, and then finally polynuclear which is the A stage. Im confused.
