There are various health hazards associated with the release of biological weapons as there are various strains of pathogenic bacteria inside the biological weapons. There are various countries which have participated in the development of the biological weapons like Britain, USA, Soviet Union and Canada. Biological warfare can be delivered in the form of aerosol contamination. Recently US has developed the anthrax biological weapon to counter terrorism in the world. The particle size of biological weapon varies from 0.3 micrometer to 5 micrometer. These particles reach the alveoli of lungs leading to serious lung disease due to the growth and proliferation of the bacterial particles in the blood vessels. The particles can be released from cruise missiles, aerosol sprays and from tanks in the artillery. The method of delivery depends upon several methods like wind velocity, direction, humidity, presence of clouds, rainfall and sunlight which leads to differences in the movement of particles in the air. It can be sent through the air conditioning ducts and even inside parcels and letters in the form of aerosol spray droplets in the air. These particles are highly contagious with long and stable persistence times with less incubation periods. They proliferate fast after infection inside the body of the host organism. There are various strains which have been used in war in several different countries with application of harmful dangerous strains of bacteria capable of causing diseases like anthrax, botulism ,anthrax and cholera among the few diseases.
