Answer #1

There are 13 card in each suit ( club, diamonds, heart and spade) in a deck. So deck has 52 cards

(K)13 1 52)-52 P(club) 52 = 4-0.25

P(not ~club)=1-P(club)=1-0.25=0.75

() 12 2 P(face card) = 0.2308 () = 52

P(face ~card \cap club)=\frac{3}{52}=0.0577

( As there are 12 card and it has jack, queen and king from each suit hence it has 3 cards from each suit)

P(A\cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)

P(face ~card \cup club)=P(face~card)+P(club)-P(face ~card \cap club)=\frac{12}{52}+\frac{13}{52}-\frac{3}{52}=\frac{22}{52}=0.4231
