Part A)-

If the current leads the voltage by 6 degree then load would be capacitive.

Part B)-

P(Real) = |V||I| cos(\Theta)

P(Complex) = |V||I| sin(\Theta)

Here = |V| = 5

And |I| = |V| / Z

= 5 / \sqrt{[(3^{2}) +(10*0.4 - {1/10*50*10^{-3}})^{2} ]}

= 5/ 3.60

= 1.39 A

Then-

P(Real) = |V||I| cos(\Theta)

= 5 * 1.39 cos6

= 6.911 W

P(Complex) = |V||I| sin(\Theta)

= 5*1.39 sin6

= 0.73 VA
