Traditional SDLC (set of processes which needs to be followed at different step like planning, documentation, testing etc) cannot be applied for PaaS but yes SDLCs for cloud must be supported for PaaS where in SDLCs must be able to get customized according to requirement of project by utilizing methodologies like Agile which are designed with iterative approaches for development and other stages of lifecycle. SLDC for cloud must have guidelines in place to make sure installation and configuration is completed for different stages of SDLC inducing maintenance
