What does it mean if a solvent in an experiment (methanol) is chilled to transfer and wash products v. if it is at room temperature
It is depent on nature of your product which is your product. they are two reason for this
1. if your prouct is soluble in methanol at room tempreture or some extent soluble at room tempreture and not soluble at chilled methanol tempreture then you should use the chilled methanol instead of methanol at room tempreture.
2. you are washing your product with chilled methanol that mean your product is insoluble at this tempreture in methanol but impurity those are adhered to your product are soluble in chilled methanol and you get more pure product.

What is the purpose or function of methanol in the Synthesis of Aspartame Experiment? A) It is used as a meta director for the bromination step. B) It serves as a mild acid. C) It serves as a carbocation intermediate. D) It is used as a solvent. E) It serves as an initiating agent for polymerization.
After the crystals have been collected Small portions of hot solvent should be used to transfer any remaining crystals to the Buchner funnel Small portions of cold solvent should be used to transfer any remaining crystals to the Buchner funnel Small portions of room temperature solvent should be used to transfer any remaining crystals to the Buchner funnel No solvent should be used. Crystals that were not originally transferred to the Buchner funnel should be left in the Erlenmeyer flask.
What does it mean if a drug has solvent instability or not dissolve in solution

explain what mean about “protein powder separately in methanol and ethanol at ratio of 1:50 (w/v)”? w and v what does it meaning, respectively
1. In order for a solution to generate heat when irradiated by
microwaves the solvent must have?
2. Identify what the solvent is for this reaction. Draw its
structure.
cetyl anthranilic acid into a large, dry, test tube place 0.68 g of anthranilic acid, 2.2 mL of acetic anhydride and a Doung chip. Upon the addition of the acetic anhydride the tube may become warm. Swirl the tubo brany to mix the reagents. Place the tube into a beaker. Place...
If methylene chloride was used as the organic solvent in solvent
extraction, instead of ether, what would the top layer be in the
separation step? This is in reference to a Solvent Extraction
experiment.

What is the objective of this experiment?
The reaction solvent for this experiment is xylene. What
property of this solvent makes it a better choice than toluene or
benzene?
Draw the orbitals involved in the 4+2 electrocyclization for
this reaction. Draw the structures of the reactants as best you
can. It may be appropriate to abbreviate the structure of
anthracene.
IR is not provided for this reaction product. Why is IR not
useful for monitoring the reaction or characterizing the...
1. Why is ethanol vapor pressure lower than methanol obtained at the same temperature? 2.What does the enthalpy of vaporization tell us in terms of the volatility of methanol?
What does it mean to say that the trials of an experiment are independent? The outcome of one trial does not affect the probability of success on any other trial. One outcome is more likely to happen than the other outcomes. The outcome of one trial affects the probability of success on any other trial. One outcome is less likely to happen than the other outcomes.
