Although anyone can be a victim of a crime, certain behaviors and personal characteristics can increase the risk of criminal victimization.

Choose one of the following crime scenarios that includes a vague victim description:

1. Amy goes to a bar with a friend. A man approaches them and offers to buy them a drink.   Amy accepts and wakes up the next morning in a stranger’s apartment and realizes she has been raped.

2. Bernard gets an e-mail from a Nigerian prince who is asking for money. Bernard ends up losing his life savings.

3. Cindy and her husband own a house and have 4 children. While Cindy and the children are visiting the grandparents, Cindy’s husband sets fire to the house leaving Cindy and the children homeless.

4. Diane has lived with her husband for 11 years. Diane’s husband is an abusive alcoholic who beats Diane on a regular basis. Last night, the husband broke Diane’s arm. After being treated at the emergency room, Diane returned home and told no one what happened.

5. Eddie is walking down a dark city street. As he approaches the corner, three guys jump out from a doorway, grab Eddie, and pull him into an alley. The three guys beat Eddie into unconsciousness and leave him for dead.

Using your imagination and your knowledge of criminology and criminal law, describe in detail a victim you might expect to be found in the situation you have chosen. Be as detailed as possible with the victim characteristics for your scenario. You may also elaborate on the crime details.  Explain why you chose your particular details.

Bernard gets an e-mail from a Nigerian prince who is asking for money. Bernard ends up losing his life savings.

The following answer is purely imaginative based on my knowledge of criminology and criminal law, describing in detail a victim that I might finf in the situation chosen.

Bernard was a 15 year old orphan boy who lived with a man whom he called his uncle. His parents passed away when he was only 4. From then onwards he was under the guidance of the so called uncle ,who himself was a meticulous thief in the outskirts of the city.His uncle was at work only once a year.Bernard too got inspired by his ways of living and followed his path without his consent.Bernard went to a nearby school just to implement his tricks and became well at hands.Bermand proved himself to be an honest and kind man Infront of all. He kept on stealing things from his very early age Now at the age 15 he was caught red handed by his neighbour at an inn stealing the money from the shef.In order to escaped from this he promised the neighbor that he would never do so if the neighbor did not reveal this to anyone .Poor neighbor who believed his words and wanted him to be a good boy went home silently without informing this to any one. The boy reached the neighbor's house and hit the man with his hammer covered with a piece of cloth.The man fell on the ground bleeding and later died.Another incident was when was on his way to the nearby shop, he saw an elderly lady walking by the side of the road.He just hit the lady with his vehicle.The lady fell on the floor seeking help.The boy approached her and snatched her carry bad and all the ornaments with her and left the lady to die .The crimes in the increased and the cops were in full rage to catch the culprit.Finally Bernard was caught and put behind the bars .The police officials and Bernard too received an email from the Nigerian Prince asking for the full sum of money he had looted and a compensation of 5000 Nigerian Niara or a death sentence.
Thus he ends up losing all his earnings and has to face death
