Ans 14 : D) Ni2+ (aq) + 2e- = Ni (s)

When the oxidation state of the element is reduced , it is said as reduction , whereas when the oxidation state of the element is increased , it is said to be oxidation.

Here in the reaction , Ni is getting reduced from +2 to 0 , so Ni2+ is getting reduced to Ni by accepting two electrons.
