H2S2O7(l)+H2O(l)→2H2SO4(l)
What happens to the heat output if this reaction occurs in the absorption column
This reaction is a standard absorption process in the manufacture of sulfuric acid. The oleum is absorbed in water, to yield sulfuric acid.
As the process is highly exothermic, heat is evolved while the reactions takes place and goes forward. This heat is than conveyed away from the absorption tower using convection. Cooling towers are implemented to this effect for effective proceeding of the reaction.

Consider this reaction, which occurs in the atmosphere and contributes to photochemical smog: ZnO(s) + H2O(l) →Zn(OH)2(aq) If there is 16.61 g ZnO and excess H2O present, the reaction yields 18.0 g Zn(OH)2. Calculate the percent yield for the reaction.
