Answer #1

Ans 15: Given value is NaCl = 58 grams/ mole

  • To prepare a molar solution of NaCl, 58 grams of NaCl is dissolved in water to make volume upto 1 litre. So. its 1Molar NaCl solution.
  • To prepare a molal solution of NaCl, 58 grams of NaCl is dissolved in 1 kilogram of water. So, its 1 Molal NaCl solution.
  • Molarity of NaCl solution containing 116g/moles = 116/ 58 = 2 M,

So, number of osmoles of 2M NaCl solution = Molarity X Number of particles in the solution

= 2 x 2 = 4 osmoles in solution.
