Answer #1

13th amendment abolished slavery in America officially, after the civil war. One of the most important ways it changed the life of the African Americans is that it freed them from their masters who kept them as slaves and utilized their labour. Secondly, it also led to the acknowledgement of everyone born in the United States as citizens of the country through the 14th amendment. It changed the way they were treated and enjoyed the benefits of the country. Finally, it changed their lives forever by giving them the right to decide their lives and professions while also entitled them to public facilities. However, it didn’t stop them from being treated equally in the society although law guaranteed them freedom from slavery. The majority whites were not able to digest the fact that those who were slaves once, suddenly became equals to them.
