Do you support the use of unions in workplaces? While there are many benefits to having them, it also creates problems, as was discussed in class where students may not be able to graduate. One instructor I had talked about working for Canada Post and was only allowed to complete two bags of mail in an hour, when it only took him 15 minutes to complete and thus had nothing to do for the remaining time, which is a clear example of unions having gone too far in regulating work.

Personally I support the existence of union. But the union must work for the employees not disturbing the regular course of work. Union is there to demand the rights of the members. There may be the union for the workers, union for the officers or the higher post personnel. Unions help the company to solve the conflict between the management and the employees. Unions also help the company to settle the decisions.

It is also true that union are also problematic in some ways:

• Sometimes unions may organize such movement that hamper the normal course of work.
• Unions are led by some political parties. Therefore sometimes party's self and individual interests also become indirect motivator of the movement and then the situation becomes more complex.
• Sometimes the activities of the unions become so troublesome that it hampers the normal course of work as mentioned in the passage.
• In the educational institutions the presence of unions and the involvement of the students in the activities of union cause great hamper in study of the students.
• It has been noticed that sometimes the activities of union may be violent.
