Answer 1: Stress ulcer occurs due to trauma, injury, shock or other chronic diseases. The stress ulcer in this case occurs due to the head injury the patient had. The stress ulcer occurs due to mucosal disease. The head injury or hemorrhage leads to excessive pressure and imbalance in the superficial erosion of the fundus and stomach body leads to stress ulcer.

So, it is usually happen due to shock, injury or trauma. It is not directly related to the stress. The proper care is required as patient is in not stable condition.
