An interesting point of reflection at Penske Transportation Solutions has been experiencing different personalities and team dynamics that exist between the labor union representatives within the multiple lines of businesses, specifically the service and maintenance side, across the organization’s footprint. While planning an intervention, for instance, some labor leaders may act as allies where others may be targeted as opponents. In some areas, they are to some degree the senior authority, wherein other areas may be skeptics or influence others to become casualties. As a new leader in the organization, it has been one “ah-ha” moment after the other, and taken me longer to build effective business relationships with our partners on the labor union side

This statement talks about how different team dynamics and different personalities exist and work in between the labour union representatives. As we can see, the leader or the manager that is about to maintain the personal relationships with the employees and union representatives here took longer than expected time because of the fact that different people are always performing different roles to make sure everyone is getting trained in all dimenions. We can see in this statement that some leaders would sometimes act as allies and others would become the opponents to train people how to communicate. Sometimes, they would act all skeptical by asking all kind of questions from the other party to make sure everyone is involved and learning how to train, negotiated and communicate for better business and personality development.
