Which is the sum of the 500 male students and 400 female students making a total of 900 students.

(b) 50% of the total student = (50 / 100) x 900 = 450 students.

(c) Proportional sampling is used here. This is a method of sampling in which the investigator divides a finite population into subpopulations and then applies random sampling techniques to each subpopulation.

Number of Girls selected = 50% of 400 = (50/100) x 400 = 200 girls

200 girls will be selected.

(d) Nominal Scale: 1st Level of Measurement

Nominal Scale, also called the categorical variable scale, is defined as a scale used for labelling variables into distinct classifications and doesn’t involve a quantitative value or order.
