(a) Why do you wants to become an engineer and What does it take to be an Engineer?

I want to become an Engineer (basically Architect) because it is my ambition and passion. To be an engineer, it takes a lot of hard work and learning of concepts oe Engineering through enrollment in an Engineering Graduation program.

(b) List any eight (8) institutional bodies that can hire the services of an Engineer and Explain the specific role in their job descriptions?

Following are the eight institutional bodies that can hire services of an Engineer & their specific roles in job descriptions:

  • Institution of Building Services Engineers: This deals with building construction and maintenance activities.
  • Institution of Water and Environmental Management: This deals with management of water resources such as river, lake etc. as well as management of environment.
  • Energy Institute: Here job description is basically focused on energy utilisation avaialble in country as well as finding economical and clean forms of energy resources and methods.
  • Institution of Civil Engineers: This basically deals with construction activities for roads, dams, etc.
  • Institution of Engineering Designers: These deal with buiding design activities for safer and practical implementation of best practices during construction of a building.
  • Institution of Mechanical Engineers: This deals with various fields such as automobiles, aviation etc.
  • Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining: Here the work is focused on material testing, mining activities etc.
  • Institution of Structural Engineers: They help to establish the important structures such as power plant, Nuclear plant, Oil piping field etc.
