Answer #1

Using the equation of motion we have

v = u + at

where v = final speed , u = initial speed ,a = acceleration

8.01 = 13.11 + a*57.6

a = -0.088 m/s^2

v^2 - u^2 = 2aS

8.01^2 - 13.11^2 = 2*-0.088*S

S = 608.3 m

so the bear travels 608.3 m
