Abstract:

The aim of this study is to understand some of the cultural considerations from a biological, evolutionary and an integrative theoritical(an integrative, flexiblle and inclusive attitude towards different Psychological models) orientation.

Psychological study on cultural evolution assumes that human behavior, evolution and cognition are shaped not only by genetics or biological inheritaance, but also from cultural inheritence. Darwinian evolution method also shows that organisms change over time or evolve from both heritable physical that is biological or genetical as well as behavioral or cultural traits.

Cultural Psychologists have shared findings that reveal that humans inabit a cultural niche in that they adapt to different environments culturally than biologically or genetically. Where there is a mix in culture, humans have inherited a mix from all those cultures that have mixed or blended together. Cultural Psychologists provide links between individual oriented disciplines such as Neuroscience and society oriented disciplines such as sociology, anthropology and history all blended into an evolutionary framework that includes both biology and cultural evolution.

Eminent evolutionary Psychologists and scientists have appreciated the facts that cultural evolution also includes gene and culture co-evolution that is human behavior and cognition involves dual evolution of genetic inheritance and cultural or social learning inheritance. For example gentic evolution shows why humans have two hands and legs, why birds have wings and can fly and humans cannot and the like. Cultural inheritance shows difference in human behavior and cognition capabilities across the globe. That is the skills, beliefs, traits, attitudes, values etc differ from different races and ethnic groups. For example, they way African people look, think and behave are different than how Red Indians, Vikings and Aborigines etc. look, think an behave. All these different cultural and ethnic races like Vikings, Red Indians, Aborigines look, feel and behave in a very different manner because of their culture than they inhabited apart from their genes. In course of time these cultural differences became a part of their very nature and hence became a part of their genetical traits so they started to differ from other cultures and hence showed different behavior and cognition capabilities.

Conclusion:

In all the above studies and findings we conclude that human cognition and behavior is shaped not only by genetic or biological traits but also by cultural conditioning that has taken place over a huge period of time. Different blends of cultures have also made humans evolve having a mix and match of the several cross cultures involved. Hence, biological science and genetics go hand in hand with cultural science like sociology, anthropology and history of the ethnicity and cultures involved.
