Answer #1

Answer 1)

MIS manager is defined as the Management Information system which is a system which gathers a large amount of data from different companies operations and then analyzes the gathered data in real-time which used to take business decisions in the company.

The backbone network of the organisation also generates a lot of data from its operations and this data is gathered by the MIS manager which it uses to analyze the performance of network at different operations it perform and based on analysis MIS manager generates a report which consist of cost and performance analysis of a backbone network.

Answer 2)

Having a Virtual LAN in the company is a good practice. Through we are able to performe Segmentation in which we are able to separate computer of one department from another department. For example we have two department sales and finance in the company and there computer are all connected to the same network and if a sales computer send message then it will be sent to all the computers of sales and well as finance department even if the message was only required by sales department and not Finance department this creates congestion in network.

In order to solve this problem we create Virtual LAN in which we logically separate computers of sales and finance departement. So that message can be sent within same department computers and if we want to communicate with another department then Trunk protocol is used for intra department communication.
