Answer #1

Ans . As the spacecraft is moving with relativistic speed so , it will appear shorter than it was on earth.

This phenomenon is called length contraction .Stated by Einstein in his theory of relativity .

Whenever a body moves with a speed closer to the speed of light , time , length and mass of the body will be different as observed by other observer.

A spacecraft flies away from the earth with a speed of4.90×106 relative to the earth andthen returns at the same speed. The spacecraft carries an atomicclock that has been carefully synchronized with an identical clockthat remains at rest on earth. The spacecraft returns to itsstarting point 365 days (1 year) later, as measured by the clockthat remained on earth. What is the difference in the elapsed timeson the two clocks, measured in hours?
