  • Media is a key linkage connecting the people and policymakers.
  • It brings political informations to the people daily as television, books, radio, internet etc.
  • Media has a great effect on the policies of public people stands on the informations that they get from the media to support any political parties and voting for it during election.
  • The topics chosen by media are those information received by the public.
  • Politicians influence the medias through the processes of staging, spinning and leaking.

The media is generally believed influence peoples and the many ways in which influence individuals and society are by both news and entertainment through mass media is referred to media effects. These media sources can effect the view of our world.

The ways in which media can influence the world are :

  • Priming : media messages may help us to record all the ideas, knowledge and experience. For example a news story of the french presidential election might provide thoughts about the french economy, memories of a trip to paris or remind a person to fill something in their grocery list.
  • Agenta setting : This refers to the fact the media controls the information we get and therefore what we think about. For example, Editors have a lot of power here and they are the ones who decides what we have should think about or create any similar mindset in people.
  • Framing : it is the way which makes people reacts regarding the comparisons made by their brain and also shaping upon the opinions of news. Framing is choosing how to tell the news to the public. Example for it is a loss or a gain.
  • Selection bias : it occurs at the situations under which people are being volunteered for a study of their particular ideologies. Example is surveying the students in a school to know of them use drugs.
