Flow time for the starting job in the sequence is nothing but its operating time. The flow time of the next job is the sum of the previous job’s flow time and the current job’s operation time. The same process is repeated for all the jobs in the sequence. A job sequence is considered to be good if the average value of its flow time is as lower as possible.
