1.Lottery Fee Scam
This is another movie which is as famous today as it was ever. You 're essentially receiving an email that tells you that you've entered the lottery and that you can collect a massive sum of money only after you pay a tiny charge.You can feel so fortunate you won't even notice you've never bought a lottery ticket in your lifetime. The strength of this scam is that it targets and uses your wildest dreams against you, letting your imagination play the central role in fooling you. You realize once you pay the money that you're just another victim of an online scam.
2.Credit Card Scam
This can be email or phone fraud here the attacker collects some of common details about the victim and manipulate them that they have been given pre-approved credit card which has high limit and you only need to pay a small amount.
3.Greeting card scam
the attacker sends the greeting card about holidays or festival and if the user click on it they might end up in downloading a malicious file onto their device which could result in loss of data.
4.Email phishing scam
here the attacker sends a malicious attachment with the email and as soon as the victim opens it the file get downloaded in victim machines.
5.Online dating scam
here the attacker sends the email about the about the dating sites and manipulate the user in beleiving them that they are chatting or taking to a real person and ask them to send money by creating false promises or fake reason.
To prevent these kinds of attacks , suspect every sites or email and do not open any links or email unless it is from a verified sources and look a lock sign in address bar for a website to know its authencticity and as google or other browser use lock sign to depict the trusted websites.
