Reduction Potential: The tendency of electrode in a cell (electrolytic or electrochemical) to act as a cathode or an anode is governed by its capability to favour reduction and oxidation respectively. Potential difference across such electrodes is known as electrode potential.

The reduction potential value of saturated silver-silver chloride electrode against standard hydrogen electrode is 0.230 V.

The reduction potential value of saturated calomel electrode against standard hydrogen electrode is 0.244 V.

Therefore, reduction potential value of saturatedcalomel electrode with respect to saturated silver-silver chloride electrode is (0.244-0.230) V = 0.014 V.

Given value of reduction potential value against saturated silver-silver chloride electrode is 0.345 V.

Reduction potential relative to saturated calomel electrode is (0.345 + 0.014) = 0.359 V.

Therefore, the calculated value of reduction potential relative to saturated calomel electrode is 0.359 V.
