=$ 400 + $ 200 + $50

= $ 650

Note:

1. It is a compulsory uniform and also a receipt is maintained.

2. Though a hammer is the equipment used in the work, it is not deductable because no receipt maintained.

3. Laundry costs - though no receipt maintained but adopted the commissioner's method.

4. As the torch is attached to hat which is compulsory and also a receipt is maintained.
