Answer #1

Answer a) Revenue = $80,000

Total Revenue = Sale price per unit x number of units = 40 x 2000 = $80000

Answer b) Total Variable cost per unit = $16

Total Variable Cost per unit= COGS + Other variable cost = $10 + $6 =$16

Answer c) Contribution Margin per unit = $24

Contribution Margin per unit = Sales cost per unit - total Variable cost per unit = $40 - $16 =$24

Answer d) Total Contribution Margin = $48000

Total contribution Margin = Contribution margin per unit x number of unit sold =$24 x 2000

Answer e) Contribution Margin Ratio = 3/5

Contribution Margin Ratio =  (total revenue - varible cost)/total revenue = (80000- 32000)/(80000) = 48000/80000 = 3/5
