Preparation of balance sheets to determine the amount missing from each of the columns balances at 31 dec 20×1:

BALNCE SHEET FOR COLUMN A:

Fixed assets 1800 Capital at Dec 31, 20×1 2700
Current assets 1650 Current laibilities 750
3450 3450

*Capital at Dec 31, 20×1

= Capital at Jan 1, 20×1 + Net profit - Drawings

= 2500 + 1000 - 800

= 2700

*Current Assets (missing amount)

= Total capital & laibilities - fixed assets

= 3450 - 1800

= 1650

BALNCE SHEET FOR COLUMN B:

Fixed assets 1750 Capital at Dec 31, 20×1 2200
Current assets 850 Current laibilities 400

*Capital at Dec 31, 20×1

= Capital at Jan 1, 20×1 + Net profit - Drawings

= 2000 + 3200 - 3000

= 2200

*Current liabilities (missing amount)

= Total assets - Capital as on Dec 31, 20×1

= 2600 - 2200

= 400
