Answer #1

Chemical potential of both Aluminium(-1.66) and copper (+0.34) isgreater than that of Cd(-2.87). Therefore both Al and Cu will reacts with Cd nitrtae.

A) With Al

2Al + 2 Cd(NO3)3 ---------> Al2(NO3)6 + 2Cd2+

B) With Cu

Cu + Cd(NO)3 --------> Cu(NO3)3 + Cd2+
